This Rutlands® brushless random orbital sander delivers maximum operator comfort, low vibration values (3.07 m/s²) and low noise (80 dB LpA). Ergonomically designed, the lightweight, low profile body allows the tool to be used for long periods without fatigue. Supplied with both 150mm and 125mm backing pads, this random orbital sander runs in a 5.0mm orbit, providing a high material removal rate whilst yielding consistent surface finishes in a range of applications.
The 350W high performance brushless motor maintains constant speed, even under heavy load, ensuring a consistent material removal rate and finish quality throughout. The soft start motor with electronic brake gradually and safely builds up speed and stops instantly. The motor operates between a 4,000 to 10,000rpm range, with the paddle lever allowing careful control of the speed between 4,000rpm and the current max rpm, set using the + and - buttons and LED indicators.
Lightweight at only 1.7kg, the sander is comfortable to use whether operated flat, vertical or overhead, and is supplied with 4 metres of removable power cable to provide unrestricted access to the project. The longer body design allows the option of a two handed grip where further control is required. The rear body dust port provides connection to the supplied 1.1 metre, 35mm dust hose which operates on a 360° swivel fitting, allowing free movement of the sander without kinking of the dust hose. A centralised vacuum system, combined with the supplied net abrasive discs, allows dust-free sanding, further reducing sanding time whilst ensuring the highest quality of finish.
Supplied with the sander are 4 x 150mm 220 grit net abrasive discs, 4 x 125mm 220 grit net abrasive discs, 150mm and 125mm backing pads, 4 metre removable power cable, 1.1 metre dust hose and backing pad removal key. ©

I use a cordless Dewalt (125mm) orbital and by and large it’s great. But for in my workshop where power isn’t an issue plus the extra material removal ( 5mm v 3mm ) plus consistent power it’s a no brainer. Factor in the price and a 3 year warranty it makes complete sense. I was going down the popular Mirka route but couldn’t justify the cost.

At 25% of the price of a Dero what’s not to like . Apart from flashing lights I fail to see much difference , if does the job it’s intended to do !

This kit is bang on the money. It is well priced. Decent dust extractor, it isn't heavy compared to other dust extractors (TIP: Henry Vacuum bags fit 😉). Sander is also very good.

I like this sander .Having always had Mirka tools but no longer able to afford them I looked for an alternative.
It is a fair bit heavier but not unreasonable so.
Hopefully it will last a few years.
