Extremely precise, the digital read out has a resolution of 1mm, the measuring scale is accurate to ±0.1mm, making it ideal for cabinetmakers and joiners who require accuracy each and every time. Measurements can be taken from either the front or the back of the tape measure, switching between the two by toggling through the menu settings. This is ideal when measuring from a corner or edge, or inside frames with no need to bend the tape.
Powered by an extra-long life lithium battery the measure automatically switches off after 2 minutes to maximise the battery life. The case of the measure is manufactured from a high-grade polymer that is both impact and shock resistant and the base is flat, to allow for the measure to stand upright unaided. Used in conventional mode the blade is 20mm wide and has permanent, laser marked metric and imperial graduations, that are bright and easy to read. I've been a Rutland's customer for a while now and have always been impressed by the quality Vs price of their tools and equipment. I've been after an accurate tape measure for a while and had this one on my radar. Recently I took the plunge and bought it. So glad I did. It makes taking accurate measurements easy as there's no need to bend the tape in tight corners. Love the features/functions and the feel/build quality is top notch as usual from Rutland's. It seems like hefty price to pay for a tape but now I've had chance to use it in my daily work life it's quickly becoming invaluable. Bang on every time. 5/5

This tape measure has made measuring so much easier. It has a sturdy build quality, is very accurate and you can set the built in display to show the measurement from the left side or right side of the tape measure. Another handy feature is the mode to show the midway distance of the measurement. There are two measurement storage memories, plus you can measure in inches or cm. The only thing which would improve the design is if the display could measure in half millimetres, as when you go over the millimetre mark it immediately jumps to the next millimetre, however you can get over this by looking at the tape measure rather than the the display and deducting half of a millimetre off what the display is showing. All in all I love the product, highly recommended.

Unfortunately I have not found this reliable. Despite replacing the batteries , it produces inconsistent results typically undereading by 2 - 3 mm. The concept is great and while it initially worked for the first couple of weeks I no longer trust it. There is an additional issue - in that its finished in a smooth shiny slippy plastic , unlike many other brands which have a rubberised case , this coupled with its weight makes me concerned that its to easy to for it to slip ( no I have not dropped it, but easily could have) . I would not advise anybody to buy it.
