FULL DESCRIPTION
It is not always possible to get a drill driver or screwdriver where you need it to be or even at the correct angle you want to use it. Driving screws in tight spaces or close to sides of cabinets can be a major problem. Designed for use with a drill driver, this 300mm flexible shaft will bend and reach right where you need it to. It is highly versatile and can be used in both forward and reverse drive.

At one end is an industry standard 1/4" hex shank which will fit into any 1/4" quick change chuck, or suitably sized keyed or keyless drill chuck. At the other end is a 1/4" quick change chuck that will accept all 1/4" hex shank screwdriver and drill bits. Simply pull down on the aluminium sleeve, place your bit into the chuck and release to lock into place. The rotating shaft is housed in an articulated metal sheath which allows any heat build up to dissipate quickly preventing damage to the shaft through overheating.

Great problem solver…

Two or three times in the past couple of months I’ve found myself having to fasten or unfasten screws in places too tight for me to get my driver in. Saw this in the sale and thought I’d give it a go. Well, simply great adapter and just wish I’d got one sooner.

Reviews for similar products from other suppliers often mentioned problems with either a lack of flexibility or a tendency to fail under load. I'm very happy to say that the Rutlands version is superior on both counts.It will bend 90 degrees and is very robust - my spade bit jammed a couple of times and the flexible drive wound up before I could release the trigger on the drill but no harm done.I won't need it every day but when the situation demands, it will be a godsend.
