FULL DESCRIPTION
This high volume, low pressure (HVLP) paint sprayer allows for all popular coatings to be sprayed including stains, lacquers, varnishes, enamels, primers, acrylics and creosote, although some may need to be thinned before use. Powered by a 700W motor, a high volume of fluid is sprayed at a low pressure, causing up to 90% less overspray compared to a conventional spray system. The low pressure allows you to lay the paint on rather than blasting it on for a softer, easier application of the spray, meaning much more of the finish ends up on the desired surface. As less fluid is consumed, material costs are reduced and there is less impact on your workshop, garage or garden surroundings.

To check your coating is suitable prior to spraying, you simply pour 100ml of your coating into the supplied viscosity cup and time in seconds how long it takes to flow through. The instruction guide shows how long (known as DIN-s) each type of coating should take to flow through the cup, i.e. varnish 15 to 40 seconds. If within range you are good to spray, if not then you need to thin accordingly.

Comfortable to use for long periods this electric paint spray gun has a soft grip handle and an adjustable nozzle for vertical, horizontal and circular spray patterns. The telescopic trolley handle and wheels ensure excellent mobility and the body features a spray gun holder with a sizeable cavity to store the 3 metres of air hose. Operating at a flow rate of 1000ml per minute under a maximum spray pressure 0.3 of a bar this HVLP sprayer will allow the novice paint sprayer to achieve excellent results after a few practice sprays. Supplied with 2 metres of 230V power cable and plug, viscosity measuring cup, a cleaning needle and a 700ml spray gun with a 2.5mm nozzle. An excellent choice for woodworking projects, car restoration and general home and garden painting. ©

We had to buy a new sprayer for a fence

We had to buy a new sprayer for a fence, the manual pump-up job was £28. like the last one, the spray nozzle is blocking.
Rutlands sent me a link to this one, it was on offer, so I bought it, its much more robust and all packs away neatly. tested with plain water, all fine, i'll try some fence paint next

What a bit of kit!

Was hesitant that this wasn’t going to be man enough to spray a room full of panelling but once the paint was the right consistency and I’d figured out the right flow it works as you’d expect any sprayer too, will be spraying everything from now on!

Wish i'd bought one years ago!

For my wall panelling work I have always used a brush and roller as I have always been sceptical that a HVLP system could supply a neat coat without filling the room with overspray. However, having just completed a large detailed panelling job in my own workshop showroom and having gotten fed up with working the brush into all of the detail, I decided it was worth the gamble and bought the Rutland HVLP spray gun and trolley.
I confess being persuaded by the the midnight offer at the time. This swung the decision and i'm pleased I went for it. It took a little practice to get the consistency right, but once I got it I was flying. The time and effort saved was certainly worth the cost and although I probably had to apply one more coat than the roller/brush, it was a quick, fairly even (I will get better with practice) and the unit just the right size to make it a portable system, even with the electric cable which I simply used with an extension.
When the weather changes, I am actually looking forward to using it on the fence and shed which I expect it will handle easily. it's never going to replace a compressed and extracted spray booth and I won't be spraying anyone's cherished heirlooms, but for what it cost and what I wanted, definitely worth the money.
