FULL DESCRIPTION
This is a premium performance router lift and router motor package featuring the R5063 Electronic Router Lift and the R5018 Router Motor.

Electronic Router Lift - R20
This new electronic router lift significantly reduces set up time and ensures pin point accuracy when table routing. The rise and fall of the router lift is operated by the digital control box which features an LED display. You simply press the start button on the control box and then select either metric or imperial graduations. Metric settings are displayed in 0.1mm increments and imperial settings in 0.001" increments.

There are two operating modes for the lift, the first method is to raise or lower the lift by pressing and holding the up or down button on the key pad until you reach your desired height. The second method is to raise or lower the lift by a specific increment by entering into the keypad the amount of height adjustment required. You can re-set to zero at any height by pressing the set zero height button. This is an excellent feature to ensure pin point routing accuracy down to 0.1mm increments.

The electronic router lift has an inbuilt thread tensioning design to ensure that the router will automatically lock in position after setting the cutting height, eliminating the risk of unwanted travel during routing. The carriage and threaded arms of the lift are CNC machined and feature sealed-for-life bearings to allow for smooth, stable control of the router motor. An adjustable motor clamping bracket accepts the Rutlands® variable speed router motor and any other router motor with a body diameter between 104mm and 110mm.

The top plate is CNC machined from 10mm thick aluminium plate and has a 100mm opening for accepting insert rings. The plate can be levelled to a table top via the 8 micro adjustment screws. Supplied with electronic router lift, digital control box, 230V cable and plug, 50mm insert ring, insert ring spanner and full operating instructions. This electronic router lift is a premium product that is extremely simple to use, will save valuable set up time and will ensure pinpoint accuracy. It is without doubt the finest electronic router lift available.

Router Lift Motor
This powerful, 2400W variable speed motor premium performance motor is designed and engineered specifically for use with router lifts and uses the latest electronic technology. It features a torque control system that prevents the motor from slowing under load, ensuring that the rotational speed remains constant, no matter what diameter of router bit you are using or how hard the wood, resulting in a superior workpiece finish.

A variable speed control dial, conveniently positioned on the bottom of the motor for easy-reach, allows you to select speeds from 10,000 to 22,000 rpm. With soft start technology, the router motor gradually increases the speed from zero to the desired level for a safer, more enjoyable routing experience. An air cool system ensures a constant flow of fresh air to prevent the risk of the motor overheating, when installed in the Rutlands® dust box or in a close-sided router table. The dust protection system prevents dust from causing damage to the motor to ensure a long trouble-free life and the precision machined spindle bearings are guaranteed for ultra smooth, vibration free rotation.

The two ER collets 1/4" and 1/2" are precision machined to ensure perfect balance and concentricity and the large off-set wrenches allow for fast bit change over. Optional 6mm, 8mm and 12mm metric collets are readily available. ©

A very clever bit of kit

A very clever bit of kit, must admit I was grinning like a kid when I typed in the height and watched the lift send itself up. For those like me that dont want to spend time with height gauges cranking lifts and checking the height this is the answer. A joy to use, with the cost justified by the time saved.

When using large raised filed panel cutters, even in hardwood this little beauty does not falter and allows for an exceptional finish. My previous Makita 3612C router would slow under heavy loads and end up burning the surface.

A match made in heaven that is perfect for a router table project. I have never seen an electronic router lift before but liked the concept and the fact bit height can be set so reliably and easily. I have a couple of Rutlands routers so had full confidence in the router motor, and I can confirm that it is a beast and compliments the lift very well.

I toyed with ordering the electronic lift for a co...

I toyed with ordering the electronic lift for a couple of days trying to justify to myself if I could warrant such a tool. I took the plunge and received delivery a couple of days ago. I have a Jessem table with router lift that you raise and lower by a side handwheel. I removed my old lift and replace it with my new electronic version. The table opening size was the same, so the fit was simple. I'm assuming that router table insert sizes are becoming standard now - at last. I attached the control box to the stand and positioned it at a slight angle so I could clearly see the keypad. I switched the control box on, pressed and held the up button and the lift smoothly raised itself with a quiet purring sound. There is a dedicated motor built into the lift that rotates via a drive belt, a nut on the main threaded spindle. As the nut rotates the carriage of the lift moves up and down. It's extremely precise and you can stop the movement instantaneously by releasing your finger form the key pad. After playing with the lift for a couple of hours to get a clear understanding of its operations I set to work on my first project. I needed to run a 12mm wide groove in tulip wood to a depth of 8.5mm. I set the control box to zero when the top of my router bit was flush with the router table and then keyed in 8.5mm to the control box. I pressed enter and the bit rose by 8.5mm. I made my first pass and then measured using a digital depth gauge the routed groove and it was precisely 8.5mm deep all the way along. I justified my purchase that very moment. An excellent piece of equipment that I will highly recommend to anyone.
