Product Details

This silicone free wax significantly reduces the friction between wood and machine tables. By reducing the effort needed to push wood through a machine it allows for greater control and improved safety. This anti friction wax is commonly used on cast iron and aluminium surfaces such as planer beds, saw benches and router tables. When used regularly it will reduce corrosion and by applying pressure the wax will clean residue from the machine surface.

Being silicone free it will not mark or penetrate the workpiece. It is favoured by cabinet makers for use on tooling such as circular saw blades, router bits and spindle moulder tooling to give an improved cutting performance. To apply simply use a rag and apply pressure in a circular motion to the work surface. Made in the UK to a unique formulation this wax is supplied in an extra large 400g tin measuring 120mm diameter by 70mm depth. ©

Edmund Hamer

great stuff, better than the squirty oil in cans, you can see where its gone, small shed, lots of condensation so i did every metal bit in sight, no messing!!

Mr JW

Never had any of this stuff before
covered my new drill press in it to stop rust
I was so impressed that I have covered everything metal that I own
Goes on easy and spreads well
not shined it up yet as I just need rust prevention at the moment
Will buy more

Martin Okeeffe

Bought this for my new table saw, as I didn't want it to rust - like my band saw table, it leaves a fine film, wood slides nicely, its only been 2 week so time will tell, but its easy to apply and fingers crossed, I have also applied to the band saw to stop that getting any worse, and my hand planes

John Rich

1st purchase of this wax, used on bandsaw table, really impressed with the results and now using on all my Woodworking tools to reduce both friction and preventing tarnishing and rust formation !

Peter Baxter

It's true. Its good. It works. Get some.

Michael Crick

If you've got a workshop or even a tool box you need a tin of tool wax. I find it very difficult to prevent rust beginning to form in the cold and damp weather. I have now started to gently rub down the the shafts and blades with mild steel wool with some wax and it makes a huge difference. Things that are supposed slide do so easily and the tools look clean and bright.

Christopher Goode

Absolutely fantastic. Yet again another product from Rutlands that doesn't fail to impress.
This tool wax was exactly what I needed for my saw bench and router table. So easy to apply, a little goes a long way, and I'm yet to need to re-apply another coat. Great stuff

Trevor Grigg

Very impressed!
Used this on my Kreg router table as the T fence was always a bit stiff and juddered slightly, waxed the table and fence underside including the slide carriage.
Absolutely transformed.

Ade Millman

Definitely Makes the saw easier to use, when cutting wood. Also made the wooden saw table top less sticky , easing the friction. Good value, when on offer, although unless you are a professional, I think a set of 3 tins will last you for ages- time will tell if the wax itself lasts as long in the tin.

Michael Barnfather

Great product at a fair price, certainly made moving wood through the thicknesser a lot easier.

Trevor Smith

Spend some time polishing your planer beds with this wax paste and you will soon see the benefit, particularly on the surface table where you are having to manually push your wood. Glides along now. On to the router table next!

Mr. S. Patel

Great for use with a scroll saw when you need to make lots of curved cuts. helps the wood glide along without snagging.

Mr Bob Askew

Fantastic on my old Wadkin cast iron saw bench. It cleans the table surface and greatly helps the when working with large MDF sheets.

Tim L

I use this all the time on my Elektra Beckum planer thicknesser beds. It really helps the timber glide through the thicknesser especially when working with softwoods. The resin from the softwood used to make the timber judder and leave slight ripples - but not any more. Very good.
