Product Details
The new 2021 model of this best selling powered router table has a new high torque variable speed motor that maintains its rotational speed under load to ensure a consistent fine finish to the routed workpiece.
A motorised router table has one distinct advantage over standard router tables; it comes with its own motor meaning you don't have to tie up your hand held router in your table. This router table is perfectly sized for any workshop and can be bench mounted or floor standing when mounted on the optional stand.
The 1500W motor is electronically controlled and gives a speed range from 8,000 - 27,000rpm; perfect for all diameters of router cutter. For added versatility, this table is supplied with both 1/4" and 1/2" collets giving you the freedom to carry out most routing projects. Cutter height is controlled using the hand wheel at the front of the table. This gives a seamless rise and fall along the full 40mm of travel and the cutter height can be set and locked off anywhere along this. Also at the front, the power switch is easy to access should you need to switch the machine off in a hurry.
Made from steel pressings, the 600mm wide by 460mm deep table top features a full length accessory slot allowing it to accept the supplied mitre fence or featherboard. The adjustable fence also features accessory tracks allowing it to accept the included featherboards. A 70mm dust port to the rear of the fence gives you dust extraction at source for cleaner working. Supplied with 1/2" and 1/4" collets, fence, 3 x featherboards and a mitre gauge, this router table is excellent value for money. 230V. This router table with lift and motor has a 3 year warranty and in the event that it fails due to a material or manufacturing defect the component will be replaced free of charge.
Specifically designed for the R5105 Powered Router Table, the optional R5106 workstand turns the router table from a bench mounted machine to a floor standing one allowing you to keep your work bench free for other jobs. Supplied flat for ease of delivery, this stand requires assembly by the user and should take around 30 minutes to assemble. The design and shape of the stand means it is strong without being too heavy and fits the motorised router table perfectly. ©

Great fast delivery. Instructions were difficult to follow but .ade easy on the Web. Couple of false starts being a total novice but wow. Not for a professional but for a shed worker like me v

Not really used it lots, the small amount I've done is really good. Well made. Nice to have router motor built in and leave it set up. Would be nice if it came with a reducer for the dust extraction.
Amina Helal
Just getting to grips with the machine. It's handy to have it setup rather than working out clamping on my bench. The cuts look clean bso far.

I bought one of these on offer a few years ago and was very dubious about the performance and quality for the price.
In all ways it has exceeded my wildest dreams.
I would like a larger table for some planned work but the convenience and accuracy of this baby is something I dread to give up.
Well worth twice as much when compared with any other router table/lift on sale today.

Bought this on the one day ends midnight sale and to say I'm happy with the price doesn't go far enough, this is a nice bit of kit and gives good clean results as it is not too bulky it can be taken from job to job, also it has a 3year warranty which is great as over the next few months I will be putting it through it's paces.

Well being new to woodworking and trying different ways to use the router I am over the moon with this purchase. Its powerful sturdy and have so far been very impressed. Love the fact I dont need to tie up a router. Easy to change bits lockable depth so yes would highly recommend for the price.
David Hull
This is an excellent bit of kit wizzed through 30 pieces of fencing no bother giving a very professional job if your thinking of buying this for the money it is a no brainer.
Nick Laws
For the money is very good. Great as a relatively portable site table. Instructions for stand were laughable, but it is not difficult to work out. Would not have it in a workshop where being used every day. Dust extraction is not great even with proper vacuum. Dust leaks below machine more than other tables have used in the past.
Matthew Hall
been using it for a while now.
I would say that the quality is a bit better than you would expect from such a low price.
This is designed for an occasional hobbiest. i have had to fix a couple of things that have gone wrong/come lose (height adjustment grub screw fell out inside the unit as the most annoying one), but it is still working.
Would be good if better quality inset plates could be bought as there is no way of safely fixing a guide bush to the standard plate where it wont come lose.
I suspect i will grow out of it quickly, but you cant argue at the price for a starter table.

Looks like a nice piece of kit but not used it much yet.
I agree with other comments the instructions could be clearer

Easy to assemble, easy to use, great results. A perfect tool to start and understand the art of routing.

Lovely bit of kit, assembly instructions rubbish. I put together 3 ikea units in an hour before.
Took me an hour an half to just fit the fence with the bits, had to knock off 2 raised metal bits of metal before the fence would slide backwards and forward. Suggestion to Rutlands maybe dry fit everything before you send it out. The ring around the bit that allows for expansion wasn't as flush as I'd like. On the whole its a neat bit of kit.

Ordered this recently - I have been delighted with the router straight out of the gate.
I have made my previous router tables myself - and the one thing that drove me mad was adjusting the height of the bit - this is now a breeze, and with a small square it is easy to measure the height of the bit. Having the collet and fixing nut above the table is terrific. The fence is very easily adjusted, and the dust collection is pretty good, a small amount of chippings fall through the table, but this is probably due to my poor dust collection. Overall I am super chuffed with this, as this my first "proper" router table, and I feel my routing skills have impoved no end - and I am routing like a boss!!

This is a great product, perfect for my little workspace. The unit is study, reliable, smooth to operate and easy to adjust. The real selling point for me was that I did not need to tie up another router in a table setup which, unless spending a small fortune, would not have had easy height adjustments. This fits the bill.

I read the reviews below and when the price dropped I couldn't let it go and not buy it, Great piece of kit. Recommended.

I was quite surprised and not very happy with my purchase of the Router Table with Lift & Motor. It was obviously made on a lean budget in China manufactured to the bare minimum cost. Firstly the Sub fences do not line up forcing the stock away from the cutter, the Mitre fence is quite sloppy in the track and one of the leg sockets were broken. Even though the price was reasonable it is certainly not up to Rutlands usual quality standards.

I was so pleased with my planer thicknesser that I did not hesitate when I needed a router table. Another great product and tremendous value for money.

I can't see why everyone has whinged about the instructions, I think it's obvious where the various screws/bolts go, so unless you think it is normal to have 60mm or more of unused thread protruding from a fixing it really is obvious.
As for the machine, it is really quite good. Sturdy, reasonably quiet, and powerful enough for a 40mm bit. It is also well thought out - in fact the speed selector is far more accessible than that on the Rutlands R15 motor and lift, and you get the NVR switch already fitted. The mitre gauge supplied with my machine is not exceptionally sloppy and I am overall very pleased with this purchase.

Received the router table last week so have not put it to serious use. So far have only made a few test cuts to see how accurate it is.
There is little to say that has not been said in other reviews
Assembly - the instructions are no help whatsoever, best guidance is a U_Tube video. Fence facings are plastic and we will see how long they last
Router motor and lift - Seems fine and easy to use and no issues changing bits with collet lifted clear of the table
Mitre Gauge - Accurate it is not and the amount of slop both horizontally and vertically is unacceptable. More importantly the Tee slot is non standard and you cannot buy any gauges that fit. The gauge size is not mentioned in the product description
Fence - Very simple piece of aluminium angle, but seems to perform OK
I bought this powered table as it was in stock and available. First Impression is that router is OK but the table accessories are on the cheap and very cheerful side. Would rather have paid an extra £50 and got jointing fence and standard Tee slot

Just bought this and being new to routing found easy to use and set up, although the instructions are not very clear, but I got there. Item was a bit damaged on arrival, but a quick e-mail to Rutlands and a replacement part was dispatched the next day, Hats off to customer service excellent service, which is often not found. As for the quality of the turnout I can't really comment as I am as I said just starting out but I seem to be getting some good results. Very happy with all the products I have purchased lately and look forward to the things I want coming back into stock. Customer for life as far as I am concerned.

Bought this as a DIYer, and it has surpassed any expectation I had, solid and sturdy build quality and for the price it is a must for any hobby woodworker, the table surface itself , although it is pressed steel, is stronger than other aluminium ones I have looked at and will probably take more abuse although the track for the sliding mitre gauge does have a lot of excess movement.
I was disappointed with the lack of assembly instruction included with this as there are a lot of different sized fittings included but found an in depth instructional video on YouTube.
In conclusion, would I buy this again, yes, without a shadow of doubt, Rutland tools are a great company to buy from, no hassle, no fuss, delivered on time and the offers I get through on the mailing list are fantastic, I only wish my bank account was bigger so I could take advantage of most of them

For the small home workshop this is ideal. Pressed steel table and not poor thin aluminium as in others I have seen.
Motor not the biggest but if your buying it for home use then no problem. It has done all I've asked of it and it has been used regularly over the last few months.
Assembly no problem. Instructions not the best but any diy'er can work it out. If not try YouTube.
Overall I am more than happy with my purchase. Buy with confidence from Rutlands.

My plan to beat lockdown boredom was to make a new router table. Just nicely started and awarding myself a coffee break when the offer of this machine came in.
One hardly needs to point out the two advantages: it frees up one's own router and it includes a height adjustment mechanism
I abandoned my project and ordered one
It is a basic workmanlike machine and is accurately described. You can debate the ideal material for a top but this one is pressed steel. Solid and well painted, ive already added some guide lines on it with indelible marker. The motor is only 1500 W, less powerful than many Routers, but so far it seems to cope
My only actual grumble is that it came with one knob missing and another was lacking its captive metal nut.... Bad quality control but not a real problem as they are standard 6mm and everybody's workshop must have a few spares lying around. Three of the four rubber feet on which it sits had already fallen off in the box but that was rectified with a few dabs of adhesive
The rise and fall mechanism has a good range and seems to work well though it is not particularly smooth. One turn of the hand wheel raises the cutter by 1.5 mm which allows for very quick setup in cases where total precision is not needed, though you need aware there's a lot of backlash in the mechanism
As the durability it too early to say. Some of the knobs are a little frail but they are very easily replaced or upgraded. As for the motor and the lift mechanism both seem fine but it is early days yet
Fence is substantial, simply an L shaped section, but can be a bit fiddly and the featherboards can foul the extract hood. However being so simple its easy to modify and I can see myself upgrading it using parts from my abandoned project.
Overall there isn't much to compare it with. I've looked at some other router tables which are better featured but then they should be as they are twice or in some cases nearly three times the cost. At the price this machine seems unbeatable and as such I highly recommend it
Dave Chiswick
Very pleased with my table. I have added two homemade sub fences to make them longer and taller for greater work piece support. Motor is powerful albeit quite loud. The variable speed control is great when working with raised field panel cutters as it gets down to a nice slow speed. Excellent value for money when you think that a typical Bosch or Makita 1/2" router is over £250.

Sturdy router for the price and ideally suited to small workshop jobs!
Fantastic fast delivery service and easy to deal with email response!

I have been looking for a reliable router table with its own motor for a while. I have two routers, which I use for different jobs and did not wish to tie them up by fitting them to a table.
This table is perfect for my small woodcraft shop. Well made and for the price very solid and well designed, providing all the necessary adjustment you would require to make the cuts, rebates etc.
Two collets 1/4" and 1/2" are provided so all size bits are covered. To change the bits just pull a lever under the table to lock the drive and change you bit. Could not be more simpler.
Great tool, highly recommend it and great value for money.

I honestly don't know how this can be done for the money. A standalone, mini spindle moulder for this money? I've only just tried a couple of test pieces on it but the height adjustment is great, the motor has plenty of grunt and the powder coated table is very rigid. AND you get to keep your router for other work. I guess it wouldn't stand up to commercial use but for occasional use in a hobby workshop, it's a bargain! What looks like an identical model (except colours) is available elsewhere for the same money but I felt much more confident buying from Rutlands. Highly recommended.
Martin
Bought this for our workshop to free up a router and as a stop gap before buying a higher end router lift. We cannot fault it, its used on a daily basis and has never failed us. Excellent product for the money.

I'm very pleased with this powered router table, it is better than I expected it to be both in build quality and performance! I have at last been able to free up my hand held router that I was using in a detached router table!

As reported before the instructions for assembly are vague and in some places, wrong. I have posted a youtube video explaining how I put mine together and which bolts go where. I'm no expert but it may save you the 15 mins of head scratching and false start I went through.. .....
Now the good bit, once I got the router together it works like a dream. Excellent stability and easy to use with the featherboards. The cuts are accurate and you can fix the router bit with the large nut on the winding spindle.
Again I was foxed for a couple of minutes, "how do I fix the spindle to change the collets or bits" once more I had to delve under the machine to find the locking lever.
Don't let any of this put you off, once you have it put together I can't see anything in this price bracket performing better.

Well made sturdy router table. Bit Changing and depth (raise/lower settings) made simple. Although I'm not a pro joiner I was delighted with the raised panel doors I was able to easily make on the table. The supplied 1/4 & 1/2 inch collets make this router well worth the money.
Michael Harvey
Very impressive little router table which has all you need except the router bits. The assembly instructions are very poor, so just look at the pictures on the Rutlands website. Locking the chuck is by a latch beneath the table and likewise, when you've adjusted the bit height there is a locking wheel on the adjustment spindle.

I wanted a router table so I could route wood in ways which are not possible with a hand router. I decided to buy the powered router table from Rutlands since this gave height adjustment using a hand wheel on the table as well as a variable speed integrated router motor. As others found the instructions need improvement and for me the first two would be a photograph from the back of the table (so that it was clear how the fence etc was connected to the table) and another photograph from underneath to show the hook used to stop the router rotating when tightening the collet and the collar which is used to lock the height adjustment. I am an occasional DIY woodworker but within a few weeks I have successfully used the router to make trays with finger joints to fix the sides together. The finger joints needed a jig and I found on the internet several videos which explained how this can be done. It was simple to use the jig on the Rutlands router table. All in all a very worthwhile purchase. I would add that I also purchased the Digital Height Gauge -DKB100- which has been invaluable in setting the router bit height and measuring the actual depths of grooves that have been cut.

+ very good value router table
+ powerful
+ dust extraction works pretty good
+ featherboards work great
+ height adjustment is good
+ table is sturdy
- bad instructions (you get the idea without them though)
- collet is really tight at first
- Some adjustments are placed rather clumsily
- router axle lock is placed inconveniently

I found this Router Table to be surprisingly well made for the price, although there is a lot of plastic on it, the wearable parts are steel, I would say that if I only complete two jobs with it, it will have been worth buying, the instructions are very rudimentary, so you need to be on the ball with using these to figure out things like the spindle lock etc, but it all works!
Nigel Wyant
What a great bit of, kit very sturdy with a good steel top. I must admit I didnt even look at the instructions its all pretty intuitive . The only one thing im not sure about is the durability of the mechanics but realistically this is great value for money tool which if it packs up after warranty I will not be to aggrieved to throw it away and buy a new one. The one thing that would take this from 99% to 100% would be the addition of the plastic moulding to hold router cutters. I had a similar table years ago which had the same side mouldings and these had a clip in plastic tray with slots for your router bits.

Perfect for my small workshop.
I've never been able to purchase a full size router table as quite simply, I do not have the space for one. This is perfect, not only do I not need a separate router, it fits perfectly on my worktop. It's a great piece of kit and one I am glad you have started selling, THANK YOU!

When I purchased this router table and tracked it, Parcelforce had it in my local depot for 2 days before delivery! On arrival I began putting it together, not that there's a lot to do, fit the fence and attach the featherboards. Instructions could be clearer as to which bolt fits where. On power-up the NVR ON button wouldn't stay on. A faulty switch. Customer Service was excellent, after I emailed them the problem with a short video a replacement switch was then dispatched and arrived next day. Fitting took 15 mins and now I have a working router. Overall I'm pleased with my purchase.

This router table is excellent to cut your teeth on when starting out in routing or to the occasional user such as me.
Features such as speed control and a wheel to raise and lower the cutter goes to make this a good tool to buy. I haven't regretted my decision to buy this table even when the motor seized (after years of use) Rutlands were able to sell me a replacement motor at a reasonable price and also supplied a new wheel that raises and lowers the cutter.
I do have a couple issues.
Lead on pin -No lead on pin is a little annoying but as the table is quite cheap this feature can be over looked without any worries.
Electrical earthing - SAFETY FIRST! The replacement motor came with an earth lead but the original NVR didn't have one so Rutlands sent me a replacement NVR. The new NVR had an earth cable but no coupling or place to fit a coupling, I used a WAGO 222-412 to join the 2 wires.
What does let this product down is customer service. I am still waiting on a reply from Rutlands who are waiting on a reply from their suppliers. It seems to me as a customer that Rutlands have no interest in asking their suppliers in a more forceful (best word I think I can use at the moment) manner to gain an answer for their customers. So now I go elsewhere where I can for my woodworking supplies.

I've owned this product for around 3years now I think I picked it up for approx. Ă‚£110.00.
This product is fantastic as an ex wood machinist it performs way better than I thought it would. My table is flat the only thing I've done is get a piece of 18mm mdf & make an all in one back fence & routered a hole to suit cutter size. The dust extraction works; I use Rutland's 50litre model but any make would work. The router is more than powerful enough for all the routeing I do fantastic for moulding edges on picture frames/drawer box & cabinet grooves. What I really like is the lock off nut on the height adjustment no matter how many pieces you put through they all come out with the same depth groove. It was handy having 1/4 & 1/2" collets as I have both size cutters; its a simple procedure to swop them over & it's simple to install cutters. Another positive is that it's not to big or heavy so suits small to medium workshops; I also can take it with me to other jobs to work it's that portable. I do agree with others that the mitre gauge is not the most accurate but that's not a problem. I can not recommend this machine highly enough top marks of 5/5 for machine & Rutland's service.

I picked this up at sale price really to explore how much use I would give a table router Vs using my plunge router & jigs..... The answer is "a lot".
The not so good.
The bed is not flat, the plastic inserts round the cutter can deform under load, the fence is poorly made to a poor design and the mitre track / gauge is most suited for decoration.
The Good.
The fence design makes it very easy to replace with a design of your own. 5 bits of conti board latter and I have independant movement of in / out feed featherboards and fences, all of which are flat and square. Fence design was one apect of using a table router I really wanted to explore and it was great to be able to modify the tool as I needed.
The Mitre gauge I replaced with a shop made coping sled which, lets face it, on a circular tool just makes way more sense than trying to align the fence to the slot anyway. The T track is now only used for feather boards and serves it's purpose well.
Though the bed is not flat and the insert can deform under load I have not found either to be a problem so long as I use feather boards. They also give a better cleaner cut than hand feeding alone.
I have now been producing just about every job with sliding dovetails and lock rabbet draws. A tennon jig with my fence takes care of any vertical needs. The fence also allows me to use it as a jointer ......
The lift is smooth and has a lock - not mentioned in the spec - The router has performed well under some heavy loads with a 20mm bit, its the biggest bit I have. I have also really liked having the depth and speed controlls to the front of the table rather than having to ferret around under the table for adjustments.
I am very happy with the table and would recommend it.

Recently bought another of these machines the delivery was super fast, my first machine burnt out after four years so for the price and the amount of work it did it was worth buying another one one niggle the plastic guard has a crack in it so just hope it lasts overall excellent service and products

Good value for money. As others have said, instructions are poor, but sorted out eventually. The tip about using a toilet flush connector on the dust extractor was excellent, thanks!
Mitre gauge fits poorly and I was looking for something better, but the T-slot is non-standard, so others sold by Rutlands don't fit, which is a shame.

Have used this a couple of times now and it works very well and good value for the money. Reading the assembly instructions should be a last resort as they are none existent. The other reviews helped me in locating the spindle and elevator locks. I fitted a WC Pan flush pipe internal connector to the dust port (Ă‚£2.02 from B&Q)this takes a 40mm pipe or in my case the end of a Numatic Henry hose it works ok unless you get a chip large enough to jam in the hose ( I was rebating into a section of Beech block worktop. However as others have said a large amount of dust drops through the spindle aperture.

Initially setup was fun, as the instructions are worse than useless, but it was an enjoyable challenge and honestly not that difficult. Two of the lock-down knobs supplied were missing their threaded inserts, but a quick email to Rutlands resulted in replacements immediately being dispatched.
Nothing to complain about here. Haven't used it much apart from a couple of test runs, but it's quieter than I'd expected, and very low vibration. The dust collection could be better, as a fair amount falls down around the motor. I'll address that by boxing up the bottom and splitting the vacuum between top & botton. Or maybe just box it up and vacuum it out periodically.
At this price-point, it's an absolute winner. I already had a home-made table (basically a board with a hole in it), and this is a major upgrade. It's big and solid and sturdy. The front-accessed height-adjuster is WAY convenient, and with the included motor, fence and feather-boards, it's a true bargain. Nice one, Rutlands!

I have not used the piece of kit yet but it feels robust and good value.
Only problem was the instuctions were very very poor for assembly.
The bonus point for me was the speed of delivery. I ordered on Tuesday and got it delivered by UPS on Thursday to FRANCE! SUPERB SERVICE. Please pass on your system to other major retailers i.e. Amazon

I'm a novice woodworker and bought this as a Christmas present for myself once I saw the Ă‚£60 price drop. The unit arrives with the router already mounted in the table and all that's left is to set up the fence and featherboards and fit a router bit. The instructions could do with a bigger diagram but it didn't take long at all to figure out what screws went where.
As to performance, I've used it a bit and it certainly seems more than able to cope with whatever I'll throw at it. Couldn't test the dust collection as I don't have the correct size fitting to match my equipment.
All in all very pleased with it.

I am extremely pleased with this table. In my opinion I would not bother with any of the other cheaper unpowered tables, I would just go for this one. I bought a cheaper unpowered table and soon realised that I wasted nearly Ă‚£70. I then bought this one and was delighted. The up-down adjustment is excellent, and spot on accuracy. Its also 1/2 and a 1/4" collet size, very handy. Well worth it.

Some have said the router drops down when in use but there is a locking collar fitted to the shaft of the adjusting mechanism which holds it in place adequately. This however is not mentioned in the manual.
It is simple to put together, the fence on mine IS at right angles to the table.
The spindle lock is located below the table and is easy to find with your hand and simple to use, and it does work, however it is not mentioned in the manual in the collet changing section but is shown in a rather poorly lit photo with no indication what it is.
The machine is cheap so I was not expecting too much, but it does do the job and rather well. I may have been lucky to have a fully functional item, which IS ready to use with no tinkering, or it may be that the manufacturer has paid attention and responded to previous criticisms. If only they would spend more time addressing the poor manual.
Overall, worth the money and far better than the previous table I had with separate router fitted.

The instructions are not great but it really is common sense. Put together in about an hour. For the price it is impressive, a few issues the main one being the fence is not at 90 degrees to the table, this took some tweaking but got there, I will probably make a new fence. I have put a few metres of soft wood through it with no issues, it is relatively quiet and the variable speed is very useful. I have not had an issue with the height adjuster moving but I can see how this could be a problem in time. The spindle lock was awkward to find at first but it works well. I cannot do anything other than 4 stars just for what you get for the price.

Although the first one had an electrical fault Rutlands very quickly replaced it. For the price this is a great piece of kit. Requires virtually no assembly and although at the time of writing have only used it for a couple of jobs it has performed very well.

Delighted with this router table. Arrived within the specified time, (I live in Ireland), delivery agent knew how to get to my address, which was a surprise as I live in a remote area. The router table itself arrives with minimum assembly required, however I had the same trouble as the other reviewers, the instructions for assembly were awful, needed a magnifying glass to work out what went where, but the job was done within an hour. As this is my first powered table didn't know what to expect, to tell the truth, never really used a router before but tried a few test pieces on scrap and found it a delight to use, powerful motor, well designed, fenced needed a little adjustment but otherwise very, very happy

excellent machine for the money, only downside i've found so far is the height adjustment needs to have additional locking function as it tends to drop as you're using it but you can make an additional lock yourself although i do think they could have forseen this and rectified it at the manufacturing stage. overall i'm really pleased with the machine though.

Good solid table. I found putting together easy, but did not understand how to lock the spindle to tighten the collet. A phone call to Rutlands made soon sorted out my stupidity. My 2 complaints are: The rise and fall of the cutter - spindle unit, IN MY MACHINE, is not stable but falls slowly with use, Additionally one cannot get back to the same height easily(backlash- hysteresis on the thread), I have fitted a protractor and pointer to the raise/lower knob and 'lock the knob with sticky tape. I find the fence does not really work well and so have re-drilled holes to get the plastic components closer together, AND have purposely used the router cutters to cut their own shape in the plastic fences. This gives a much more precise control of depth of cut. I have now cut over 100 mtrs of solid oak- ( 4"x2")and have blunted 4 cutters, the table is still working well, except for 3 days of being unable to lower the cutting height, fiddling with the raise/lower mechanism under the top, somehow sorted this. I have 2 hand help Routers, this table is now my preferred Router tool.

Great bit of kit. Was damaged when received but Rutlands swiftly replaced broken parts. Used it quite a bit and it has performed flawlessly. One criticism is the user manual that could have been better illustrated and described.

NOT BAD BUT BE PREPARED TO TINKER.
I must qualify this review by saying I have only just put it together and had a play around with it. I might come back and (re)review it again.
On the plus side, it made a surprisingly good job of some test pieces I put through it. It seems quite powerful and while it is a little rough around the edges, it will be fine for domestic and hobby use.
As others have said the assembly instructions are woefully inadequate, and when I called Rutlands they emailed me a PDF of the same instructions that were in the box. So it really was trial and error and using the images from this very page. I cannot really comment on the precision yet, but my gut instinct says it is going to require some tinkering and home made mods to make it acceptably accurate. For the money you really cannot be expecting a quality tool but it seems reasonable value and this is why I have given it 4 out of 5.

Great value for the money, I also spent time try to put together the stand as some of the hole didn't line up, so just re-drilled my own the router lift is great spot on for the work it as already done . The only niggle I had was the 2 self adhesive rulers came unstuck so had to re-align and glue back down . love this piece of kit .I have now mounted on lockable wheels so I can wheel it any where in the workshop

What a piece of kit, Easy to set up and no problem getting it ready for work it came with a broken extractor port but a quick phone call to Rutland's was answered very quickly by a new part in the post next day.
Very quite compared to my last router and large enough to do the work I bought it for.
I got the stand for it as well but when I came to build the stand the instructions were no good at all, so I spent the next couple of hours using trial and error and it all worked out in the end, I am now the proud owner of a very robust piece of kit that should give me many years of service.
The height adjustment is very good and variable speed as well, I have tried out this kit on a few pieces and am very pleased with the result thanks for all your help guys especially finding a new guard for me, brilliant

It is what it is
Mine came I had to shim underneath the router to level cutters up it works fine now it's D I Y special

My first router table and a good choice. I have a small workshop and space is at a premium. The table is robust enough but the fence and feather boards are a bit flimsy though. On the downside, my 5 year old Grand Daughter could of done a better job with the instruction book. Typical of todays culture there a 5 pages of health & safety backside covering and a couple of grainy black and white photos to figure out what goes where. This web page is more useful and by trial an error you will get there. However, all in all I am very pleased with the purchase.

Great value for the money. A little crude in places but nothing that a little ingenuity cannot fix. The fence is a bit low so I am using my old one but the original is easily modified. If the motor is reliable and I have no reason to doubt that it isn't I'm a happy man. I only have one reservation and that is when the collet begins to wear, and they all do eventually, is this going to make the whole table obsolete? It would be nice to be able to purchase a spare now.

A great hobby router table, sturdy and with easy height adjustment and a reasonable powered router included. I'm so far very pleased with the item. However when you get the assembly instructions the best thing to do with them is recycle them into toilet paper. The instruction make no sense at all your far better off using common sense and deduction to work out what goes where and which bolts, nuts, screws and knobs go where. What should have taken ten to fifteen minutes to assemble took me nearly an hour.
Peter Drake
Excellent quality for the price. Cutter rises and falls without snagging, the fence is easy to move and set up square and the router motor itself seems capable of what I ask it. My only complaint is the spindle lock. Situated where it is and the fact you have to keep it pulled down while changing collets or cutters, does make it rather fiddly. However, this is a mere blip on an otherwise excellent machine. When I've made space in my workshop, I'll definitely buy the stand to give me a bit of extra storage.
