Product Details
Weighing over 17kg this substantial vice has significant mass to absorb vibration when sawing, drilling, grinding or filing. Manufactured from CNC machined, grey iron castings it features an Acme threaded main screw, for smooth, controlled movement whilst delivering a massive and class leading clamping force up to 25000N.
The main screw is fully protected from dirt and debris, preventing swarf for becoming trapped between the main screw and the cast steel nut. The castings are epoxy powder painted resulting in a hard wearing, corrosion and chip resistant finish. The main head has three sets of jaws; standard 125mm hardened steel flat jaws which are serrated and replaceable, 64mm diameter capacity cast stepped jaws for powerful non slip clamping and replaceable V shaped hardened steel jaws with a 64mm diameter clamping capacity.
Both the head of the vice and the swivel base rotate through 360° and are locked off using two steel tommy bars, allowing for the workpiece to be clamped horizontally, vertically or an any angle required for best access. At the rear, the vice features a large machined anvil measuring 80mm x 65mm, providing a striking surface for a variety of functions. Fully opened the vice has a clamping capacity of 125mm with an overall length of 420mm and standing 220mm in height.
This workshop vice has a lifetime warranty and in the event that the vice fails due to a material or manufacturing defect it will be replaced free of charge. This is an exceptionally heavy duty vice that will rigidly clamp any shape, at any angle for best workpiece access, whether in the workshop, garage or factory. ©

I am very pleased with this vice, it is larger than I expected and very strong. Very easy to bolt to the bench, nice fast delivery and well packed.

Nice vice bolted to bench 10 or 12 mm bolts req spins and manurers brilliant paid for 48 hours but had to wait 5 days for delivery not Rutland fault but miffed as was not home when it did turn up. Had to go and get it.

Great vice for everything, does the job for Woodworking, metalworking.
If you want a vice for the above, and woodcarving, you cannot get better, holding your workpiece for carving, is amazing, as it angles at so many different positions, for small or large pieces, looked at other woodcarving vice's, but none seemed either strong enough, or flexible enough, unless paying £100's. This vice has it all, even at full price.
FANTASTIC TOOL.
Would thoroughly recommend. 5 Stars, my thanks to Rutland's.

Was sceptical that it would be a rough & ready "Chinese knock off" but I took the risk on... The box arrived & looked well packaged too. I was pleasantly surprised to find a very solid & decently finished vice with all the handles working smoothly.
After a few uses, I can definitely recommend this vice as a dependable & well made item for your workshop..

A substantial piece of kit. Solidly built. Smooth operation. Particularly like the swivel jaw for holding difficult shaped items at different angles. Quite heavy, but should last a very long time. Recommend for a wide variety of engineering jobs and projects.

Real pleased so far , and a lot bigger than I thought.
looks well made . The winding bar is a bit noisy when it drops
down , but that's only a miner point . Recomended .

Outstanding bit of kit on product and price high five Rutland team

What a great bit of kit, spent the last 40 years using a standard metal working vice, now able to move work pieces to more accessible angles makes jobs so much easier, really solid tool, a real plus for any workshop.

The only person so far who does not like my new vice was the Parcel Force driver. He moaned and groaned as he carried it up the drive .... "what you ordered a box of led". Fantastic vice that is really practical with its swivel base and swivel head and three sets of jaws. Very well finished in a dark grey paint. If I had seen it in a shop I would have paid more as it really is a big beast. Originally tried to screw it to the bench but gave that up and drilled the bench top and used a couple of coach bolts. Cracking piece of kit.

As a woodworker doing the occasional metalwork I thought I'd cover both bases and buy this vice. I've so far used it for sanding, planing, drilling and used the other jaws for cutting down some pipes with my angle grinder. Each time it's given me a secure grip and flexibilty to rotate the work however I need it. Impressed
Wayne Allman
Arrived promptly the following day. Incredibly useful to make rotational adjustments when you need to, makes getting a workable angle for planing and grinding a whole lot easier. Locks in nice & tight once adjusted and will not budge. Second set of jaws have been useful for metal pipes etc.
