FULL DESCRIPTION
The dust cyclone kit will allow you to collect 95% of dust and debris before it reaches your vacuum or dust collector. The larger debris falls to the bottom of the container which leaves the finer dust to be collected by the dust collection bags in your vacuum. This kit contains everything needed to create a cyclone collector from a large container such as a bucket, barrel, or box.

The kit allows you to collect dust for longer periods of time without losing suction power. Loss of suction is caused by prematurely filling and clogging the filter on your vacuum, which this kit eliminates. The kit is designed to work with industry standard 102mm outside diameter flexible dust hoses and is supplied with all the necessary fixtures and hardware to turn any container into a perfect cyclone dust collector. There is a supplied template which is placed onto the lid of your container which shows you exactly where to cut out the holes for the dust ports and drill the holes for the hardware.

The kit contains the following: 2x 100mm ports, 1x 100mm infeed elbow, 1x 100mm outfeed elbow, 2x 100mm butterfly key hose clamps and a hardware pack. A container, 100mm flexible dust hose and suitable vacuum are all that is needed to create your own cyclone dust collector. The collector is ideal for high volume dust generating power tools such as routers, planes, saws and sanders and will capture 95% of the dust before reaching your extractor, saving time and replacement bag cost. ©

Great piece of kit

I had already made my own version of these and it worked quite well with my record power dust extractor…. Enter these guys…game changer… really simple to put together and work really well. They don’t remove the very finest particles which get caught in the extractor, but everything else (most of it) stays in the cyclone container

This gave a far better performance than I thought...

This gave a far better performance than I thought. I bought a 25 litre bucket with lid from my local garden superstore. I market the two 4" hole positions on the lid and then used a very sharp Stanley knife to cut out the holes. I bought and extra length of 4" hose from Rutlands and connected it all up to my Clarke dust vacuum. The heavy shavings fell straight into the bottom of the 25 litre bucket and the finer dust went through to the extractor. Works a treat and will save me lots of money on buying dust extractor bags. Very simple but very effective,

I wasn't expecting much from these primarily because they were so cheap compared to other kits online. However I have been nothing but shocked and amazed at how well they work! I'm gutted that I haven't bought these sooner and put them in my extraction system. Managed to pick up an old plastic seed bin from my local recycling centre and it has blown my mind how well this kit performs. 10 out of 10!

I have been looking for a way to breathe new life ...

I have been looking for a way to breathe new life into my old Record DX800, and this kit seemed to offer a solution at a lower cost than anything else I'd seen. I needed extraction which could be moved round the workshop and fitted to either my planer/thicknesser, router table, bandsaw or drum sander. It had to reduce the need for bag emptying and filter cleaning, and also reduce or eliminate the entrance to the DX clogging when planning woods such as sycamore.I bought a 120ltr lidded food bin, fitted the pieces of my Rutland kit to the lid in about 20 minutes, connected to the DX with a short piece of 100mm hose and my P/T with about 2 metres. With a bit of scepticism I switched on both machines and ran some timber through. NOTHING went beyond the catching drum. The Rutland kit has over the last two weeks exceeded my expectations at every use on all of my machines. I cannot recommend this enough.I have since mounted both drum and DX onto a wheeled board for ultra easy movement round the workshop.Great bit of kit, and in my opinion a game changer for small hobby or craft business workshops.

This makes maintenance of the main suck unit much easier and, I think, more efficient. I've just fitted it to the box that the vac came in and it works well! Only issue is that it does take up space but the cleaner environment is worth it.
