FULL DESCRIPTION
The new Precision 100 Woodturning Chuck is the latest advancement in work holding systems for discerning woodturners. Precision engineered and beautifully balanced, it offers superior performance combined with rock-solid holding power and excellent load bearing capability. The chuck is specifically designed so the jaws cut into the wood to provide a class leading clamping force, unlike other woodturning chucks that use engineering jaw profiles which crush the wood fibres and do not grip the workpiece as securely. The body of the chuck is engineered to ensure that the workpiece sits as close as possible to the headstock, therefore reducing load and minimizing wear on the main spindle bearing.

This chuck is extremely strong and durable, as it is machined from a special grade of medium-tensile steel, which is normally used for the manufacture of high performance turbo impellors, pistons and gears. Using this steel allows for closer tolerances during the manufacturing process which results in excellent concentricity to minimize vibration and to ensure that a chatter-free, super fine finish can be achieved by the woodturner. The precision machined scroll mechanism and the high ratio gearing combine to ensure a strong grip irrespective of workpiece size. The four jaws open and close using a T-handled key, allowing for one handed operation, leaving one hand free to support and balance your workpiece when mounting and dis-mounting the workpiece.

The chuck kit contains the Precision 100 chuck body, 70mm dovetail jaws, 75mm face plate ring, 50mm pin jaws and a woodscrew chuck. This wide array of jaws allows for all popular turning projects including; spindles, bowls, goblets, candlesticks, pepper mills, pens and pencils and even turning unseasoned and green timber. Designed to be used with all sizes of lathes from midi and mini lathes through to large capacity professional lathes. The chuck and jaws are presented in a box set, which features a dedicated foam cut out to aid protection when not in use. 1" x 8tpi and 33 x 3.5mm chucks are direct threaded, 3/4" x 16tpi, 1" x 12tpi, 1 1/4" x 8tpi and 1 1/2" x 8tpi chucks are supplied with thread adaptors.

This is without doubt the finest chuck system we have offered and allows for a multitude of operations to be carried out without removing the chuck from the lathe. It is precision made, has excellent concentricity and has a wide range of jaws. The optional jaw pack is a firm favourite as it allows you to further develop your turning skills and broadens the range of projects that you can turn. ©

Precision 100 chuck

Great chuck, great value for money. This is the third one I have bought. Always worth picking up when on special offer.

Great Chuck

Purchased the Record SC2 chuck to go with a small lathe, going to be used for pen making and other small projects. I have now used all the jaws, drilled out a number of blanks for pens, (both short blanks and longer ones for modified pens) finished a number of projects that I had started with another chuck, completed several pens, and some small bowls for the family. Looking forwards to using this chuck for a lot more projects.

Super chuck

I now have two of these chucks which are brilliant value. The first one I have had for about a year and is extremely versatile. Quality is excellent abd the chuck runs very accurately. The range of jaws is ideal and their prices are very good. I have the second chuck set for pen turning fir which it is ideal.

Precision 100 Woodturning chuck

I had previously brought the precision 100 woodturning Chuck complete kit for my old lathe which was an 8tpi. I have since brought a new lathe which required an m33 Chuck. I decided to buy from Rutland again as the performance of the pervious Chuck was excellent so it was therefore an obvious choice. Delivery was very smooth and Rutland kept me informed every step of the way.

I have no hesitation on recommending Rutland products. I have also punched several wood turning chisels.

Excellent Purchase

So happy with this Precision 100 Woodturning Chuck Complete Kit.
Definitely my best purchase from Rutland.
I love it that all the various chuck jaws come in one kit, thus saving me lots of money purchasing everything separately.
Thank You so much Rutlands
