This self centering dowel jig is manufactured from CNC machined aircraft-grade aluminium and beautifully finished in black electro-coating. This doweling jig automatically centres itself on any board from 10mm to 60mm wide. The jig comes with two sets of removable steel bushings for hole sizes 6, 8 and 10mm, allowing you to drill two holes of the same size at one setting.

The threaded bushes are manufactured from tool steel to prevent wear and play, guaranteeing a consistent and true drilling line. The bushes are used in the two holes on the left of the jig, with the two on the right being used for non-bush drilling of 11mm and 12mm diameter holes.

Open and closing of the jig jaws is smooth and consistent and the lead screw has a fast action acme thread. This dowel jig is extremely simple to set up, precise and very well engineered. The CNC machined dowel jig is supplied with 2 x 6mm guide bushes, 2 x 8mm guide bushes and 2 x 10mm guide bushes. ©

Not only did it arrive ridiculously quickly, but on opening I was greeted by superb build quality. The setup was simple and very easy to use. Highly recommend this for ensuring DIY jobs are straightforward and all dowelling is consistent.

This was much heavier than I thought it would be - a solid well made bit of kit - superb!

Game Changer

My previous dowel jig was the record/marples one from 40 years ago which would give good results but took a lot of setting up and relied on you holding it tight to the work piece by hand. This little beauty sets itself in the middle of the board and clamps rigidly in place. The drill guides are long so the hole drilled is faithfully at right angles tto the board. I think this will be a game changer for dowling joints.

Would recommend

Great build quality from good solid materials. Stays paralel while clamping so it makes very accurate holes. Used it mostely for panelling larger boards and drilling out mortises. Would recommend for anyone doing a lot of joinery.
