Made from an impact resistant ABS this dowel jig allows you to create strong and precise corner joints, surface joints and edge joints. Embedded into the body of the jig are three steel bushes to accept 6mm, 8mm and 10mm brad point bits. On one side of the jig there are 4 location pegs that allow you to automatically centre your dowel in position when creating edge joints. On the opposite side of the jig, you can fit the adjustable fence which allows you to position the dowel from 0 to 30mm from the edge of the workpiece. Alternatively, you can remove the fence and simply lay the jig flat on the workpiece and position the dowel anywhere you require.

The kit comprises of 6mm, 8mm and 10mm HSS brad point bits with individual depth stops to suit, a selection of grooved beech dowels and chrome plated dowel centre points to accurately align the position of dowel holes in adjoining workpieces. No measuring or marking is needed of either board when making an end or corner joint, making this jig a quick and effortless way of creating professional wood joints. ©

Works really well for a hobbyist like myself. I used it to make a bed frame for my daughter, couldn't have been easier and the I am proud of the finished project.

Used this to make joints in scaffold board cabinet. Joined together 35 mm boards really well. Easy to use and accurate alignment of boards.

Very simple little jig...

Very simple little jig. Easy to set dowel distance. Kit very nicely designed with everything a beginner could need.

Dowel Jig

I have not yet used this for an actual project but have had a play with it. The jig itself seems fine, but the 8mm and 6mm drills seem to have off centred brad points which make them run in an elliptical manner meaning that the jig wobbles all over. Using my own drills however it seems fine. Time will tell. Other than that the kit is very nice and well packaged.
