Guide Bush - 30mm

Guide bushes are used when material is required to be routed to a set pattern or shape. They are used in conjunction with worktop jigs, lock jigs, hinge jigs, sign writing jigs and any other form of router copying template. This guide bushes is precision machined from solid brass to ensure perfect concentricity and dimensional accuracy. If a guide bush is not 100% concentric then the finished workpiece will not be a true copy of the template or jig and as such could ruin an expensive workpiece.

The guide bush can fit into an adaptor plate or is commonly used in router sub-bases and router table inserts. The guide bush is supplied with a locking ring to secure it to the plate, base or insert. When using this guide bush it is recommended that a minimum allowance of 3.5mm between the router bit and outside of the bush is made, to allow the waste to clear the guide bush.

The guide bush has an outside diameter of 30mm with a 10mm projection making this a perfect guide bush for kitchen worktop jigs. This is a premium guide bush precision machined from solid brass that should not be confused with budget pressed steel or plastic guide bushes. ©
