Random Orbital Sander with Turbo Gear Drive with Dust Extractor - 10 Litre

Two sanders in one - the Rutlands® 150mm random orbital sander combines an aggressive, high removal rate turbo gear-driven coarse sander, with a super-fine finishing low vibration random orbital sander. Switch from stall-free heavy stock removal to ultra-fine finishing at the flick of a switch. The quiet, efficient dust extractor synchronises with the sander, automatically activating as you work. The dust extractor will run for a further 5 seconds after the sander is switched off, clearing any dust left in the hose.

‘Free rotation’ mode runs in a standard 5.0mm random orbit, oscillating only through rotational momentum. This ensures the highest quality surface finish, free from swirl marks or scratches, whilst reducing the risk of applying too much pressure during lighter sanding tasks. Switch to ‘turbo gear drive’, and the random orbit is forcibly driven by gears, allowing you to apply heavy pressure with zero stalling. This provides exceptionally high sanding power and a 50% quicker material removal rate, stripping old paint and finishes, or flattening rough surfaces, with unrelenting speed.

Driving the sander is an 800W high torque motor, running at a variable speed range of between 3,300 - 7,400 RPM. An electronic speed controller maintains the selected speed under load, for consistent results no matter the application. The side mounted slide switch prevents accidental start-up and can be locked in the on position for continuous operation.

An auxiliary handle screws into the left or right hand side of the sander and provides maximum control during coarse sanding, or when working vertically or overhead. The clip-on edge protector protects both the edge of the backing pad, and adjacent surfaces, from damage when sanding right up against corners or edges. Supplied with the sander is a 150mm backing pad, auxiliary side handle and backing pad removal key. 

Dust Extractor with Auto Start - 10 Litre
Extremely quiet in use at just 65dB, this dust extractor has four-fold dust filtration, comprising of a HEPA fleece filter bag, filter cartridge, filter basket and filter sponge, capturing dust particles down to 0.3 micron and ensuring that the air re-entering the atmosphere is clean. The 1200W motor delivers an enormous suction power of 260 mbar and features variable air-flow control, to adjust the suction to suit all floor surfaces. Supplied with a 2m highly flexible kink-proof hose, extension poles, 300mm floor head, 100mm floor head, crevice tool, fleece filter bag and a stepped rubber adaptor. The dust extractor is compact and lightweight and can be carried with one hand, including the hose and accessories, due to the onboard tool storage. 

The extractor should not be operated for more than 20 minutes continuously. After 20 minutes of continuous operation, turn off the unit and allow a 15 minute resting period before next use. Clean the body, filter and dust bag after use. ©
