FULL DESCRIPTION
A 90° square is perfect for machinery and power tool set up - it can be used when setting up table saws, jointers, or any machine where you are required to make precision cuts. When setting up machinery the large footprint of the tool allows it to stand unaided on the machine bed which leaves both hands free to make adjustments. As well as being a highly accurate 90° square this square can also be used to draw parallel lines at 1mm increments from the edge of your workpiece. There are a series of 5 holes running across the blade every 5mm, with the first hole being the at 0mm on the measuring scale. For example, the first hole is next to the 0mm engraving, the hole next to this is 1mm and the next hole is 2mm and so on. There is a lip on both the front and back of the handle which keeps the square flat against the workpiece edge, meaning the square can also be used to draw perpendicular lines. A small, recessed hole on the inner angle allows marking from the very edge of your workpiece. We would recommend using a 0.5mm fine pencil to achieve the best results when using this rule.

The square has laser engraved metric graduations which are crisp and clear and can be read easily without straining your eyes. The rule has been precision CNC machined from a single piece of aircraft grade aluminium which guarantees its squareness to 0.01mm over the entire length of the blade. The square has been beautifully finished by an electrochemical process called anodisation which increases its resistance to corrosion and wear while also making it very aesthetically pleasing.

The square features a hanging hole for easy storage and measures 400mm long by 130mm wide on the outer edges and 350mm long by 95mm wide on the inner edges. ©

Accurate

I searched the web to find a square that even mentioned accuracy in the product description - this was one of very few I found. I had another large square that I had been relying on but after a few frustrating joint errors I checked it and it was out. So I bought this one - not quite as large as my previous one, but it claims to be accurate, and thats what I needed. As claimed, it's spot on and therefore will be used a lot. The holes for parallel line marking are only large enough for a fine tipped pen or pencil but thats not really a drawback.

Great square and extremely accurate...

Great square and extremely accurate. The base is a little short so you have to get the knack of keeping it perpendicular while marking a line near the end of the square (anything further out than 200mm). The engravings are little difficult to read in low light.Overall very pleased with this purchase, it feels like a high quality item and has helped me build some very accurate cabinets. This tool exceeds my abilities in terms of accuracy or precision, but that's what you need to ensure your tools aren't holding you back!

Received this today...

Received this today. Have now set up my mitre saw, table saw, router table fence and jointer fence. This is so accurate it's a thing of real beauty. The confidence I have in my tools has rocketed. EVERYTHING is now set to a perfect 90 degrees. Expensive and rightly so, as perfection never comes cheap.

Lovely square, the machined holes at 1mm intervals...

Lovely square, the machined holes at 1mm intervals are a brilliant idea for parallels, though I would suggest using a technical pencil and 'playing' with it to get the feel. The measurements are etched and difficult to read so I'm going to carefully wipe some white enamel on mine to make them more legible. Still happy to give 5 stars though.

Really accurate...

Really accurate. Speeds up marking out and makes it much more reliable for repetitive work.
