Miscellaneous Part

Last week I needed a replacement drive belt for a thickness planner, ordered it on Wednesday and it arrived the next morning. Very happy customer.

Shattered the blade guard on my Rutland saw table, so emailed late that afternoon to see if they carried spares. Reply first thing the next day was yes and how to order. Went online paid and it was with me the next morning. Superb customer service. Thank you.

Spring broke on vice.

Called to enquire about spare parts. Told one was available. This was sent very promptly and arrived quickly.

Pleased with service.

Just one quibble - £7 postage for a spring costing £5 is excessive. I live on the UK mainland and am very tired of excessive postage charges.

I lost the guide bush retaining screws for my Rutland router. Sent an email to customer services and they replied within the hour with the part number needed. I ordered on the Wednesday afternoon and package with me Thursday afternoon. Brilliant service.

‘Miscellaneous part’ doesn’t tell you much but in this case I had snapped (through mis use) a Brad point drill hit from a full set purchased from Rutlands. I’ve learnt that even though their web site doesn’t show spares and single parts, it’s always worth sending an email as they do often have what you need. They sent me a ‘link’ to open which contained the description ’miscellaneous part’ but it was in fact a 12.5mm drill bit and my set is now once again complete. Thanks Rutlands. Great service as always.
