This steel rule is the most accurate way to mark points and measure precise distances. There are several microfine holes where you can locate the technical pencil for highly accurate marking. Because the rule itself is 0.2mm thick there is zero parallax error which would be common with thicker rulers. The rule features a multitude of different scales: 0 to 50mm height marking slots on the edge of the rule, 0 to 300mm distance marking slots with a marking slot every 0.5mm and 0 to 300mm guide holes with a guide hole every 0.25mm for drawing parallel lines.

The rule has been laser cut from stainless steel making it incredibly accurate and it will not rust or degrade because of the durable nature of the stainless steel. The crisp and clear precision etched graduations are very easy to read so you will not strain your eyes.

The complete kit includes the 300mm straight rule, a 0.5mm precision pencil and 12 refills. This is our most precise and best selling straight rule which is intuitively easy to use and can be used for many setup and marking out applications. ©

Precision ruler set

Very nice little set that even comes in a small box. I was looking for something to build guitars with and measure/mark with ease and accuracy. This is a step beyound a standard steel ruler and though it is thin feeling you have to understand that it is covered in marking out holes for the fine tip drawing pencel that it comes with plus the leads. The problem with normal rulers is they are only as good as the user and the light. Guitar building depends upon accuracy to achieve good results and there is nothing worse than making more work for yourself or making a wreak of an expensive piece of hardwood; as a laying out tool I think it would be hard to beat and very good value.

Thinner than I anticipated but that is down to my not reading the full specification. Use so far has been to produce scale drawings. Bought another one as a present for my brother who is a skilled guitar maker. I am amazed at the accuracy of this item which is rapidly exceeding my ageing eyesight!
