This tool holder and tray for lathes allows the storage and organisation of up to 14 woodturning tools, positioning gouges and chisels conveniently within arm’s reach. Easy to install, and with all hardware included, the mounting bracket fastens onto the bed of the lathe. One of two mounting holes in the mounting bar can be chosen according to the clearance required.
Once installed, the S-shaped arm can be swung in or out of the way as needed and the holder rotates through 360° for quick and easy access to each tool. At the centre of the holder is shallow tray for the storage of centres, chuck keys, carbide blade inserts or any other woodturning accessories. Constructed from a strong, impact resistant ABS plastic, the tool holder will not flex or distort under load and is designed to withstand the rigors of workshop use. ©

Great additional and very handy item for any woodturner. Saves your chisels rolling around on the bench or onto the floor! I don't know why I haven't thought of buying one of these before. Holes just the right diameter to hold most conventional turning tools and the tray comes in handy to hold calipers, verniers ect.
It is designed to clamp at he end of the lathe bed but this can be inconvenient if you want to take off the tailstock for bowl turning. However, there are two holes in the plate which can be used to **** or bolt the holder into place onto the bench next to your lathe either at the headstock or tailstock end. At present this item is on offer at Rutlands and a highly recommended buy.
Really useful - especially the tray. I was sick of putting small tools down and forgetting where where! Holes around the edge are perfect size for my turning tools. I've fixed the base to an alternative position to the recommended lathe stand as I often take off the tailstock when turning bowls.
I liked the first one I bought so I bought a second one
I saw this toolholder ages ago and thought it was a great idea the other day I saw it again at a reduced price so I grabbed it its very well made and holds all my chisels close to hand I havnt mounted it to the lathe as I like to remove the tail stock so I mounted it to my lathe bench
