This 60mm auto adjusting horizontal toggle clamp with plate and posts allows you to use the toggle clamp wherever 3/4" or 20mm holes have been drilled. The plates are perfect to use with existing dog holes on workbenches or tabletops. There are four predrilled holes in the plate to allow you to mount your toggle clamp easily. The clamp can then be rotated around 360 degrees once it is placed inside a hole. The plate is 10mm thick which will naturally increase the maximum capacity of the horizontal toggle clamp.

With traditional toggle clamps considerable time is taken setting up the clamp to suit the workpiece height, there is no setup required with these auto adjusting clamps as they automatically adjust to suit the workpiece height while maintaining a constant clamping pressure. The clamping pressure can be set between 100N and 3000N depending on the application of the clamp and this can be adjusted easily with the simple turn of a screw.

There are two 125mm steel posts suppled with the plate, one is 3/4" in diameter and the other is 20mm, meaning they will be compatible with either industry standard dog hole diameters. The posts have several back tapered rings along their length which engage with the inner wall of the hole to prevent the post from being pulled upwards when clamping force is applied from the clamp.

The plate itself has been CNC machined from aircraft grade aluminium and has been black anodised to provide a durable and great looking, non marring finish. ©

Time saver

I've used toggle clamps over the years and they've always required setting up to the materials thickness the joy of course here is this automatically does it for you so time saved and less faff.

Excellent quality toggle clamps.

I ordered these clamps not knowing what the quality was going to be like for the price. They arrived individually boxed with foam packaging surrounding them. Taking them out of the boxes, I could see and feel the quality of them (as someone has already stated in the reviews, '...at least as good as Bessy'). I can second that, adding that they are on a par with AMF clamps as well and at quite a cost saving to both. If you're looking for auto adjust toggle clamps, you can't go wrong with these. Very impressed!

I was very pleased to receive these clamps

I was very pleased to receive these clamps and find they are at least as good as the Bessy equivalents that I have been using for many years (but considerably cheaper).I wanted these larger clamps specifically to use on my sliding table saw, where the wide 'auto-adjust' clamping range is particularly useful. The simple clamping force adjustment is also impressive, from really strong down to feather light (for 'soft/delicate woods).I will definitely be buying more from the Rutland range for several router jigs I have in mind, where the speed of clamping and unclamping is such an advantage over 'screw' type clamps.
