FULL DESCRIPTION
Used in conjunction with a water or diamond stone this knife sharpening guide seats the knife at the correct angle to create a mirror finish, razor sharp edge. Free hand sharpening can lead to an inconsistent finish across the bevel resulting in a lack of sharpness. This honing guide is easy to use and gives the same result time and time again for reliable, consistent sharpening. The guide clips on to the back of the knife blade and by raising it slightly presents the cutting edge at an angle to the sharpening stone. The knife can then be sharpened in full confidence that it is being honed to the correct cutting angle.

The guide can be used with any length of blade and can be repositioned along the blade when working on long fish or meat knives. Great little knife sharpening guide...

Great little knife sharpening guide. I've always had dreadful kitchen knives, due to trying to sharpen them on those pull through devices sold in kitchen shops. Well, I bought some Rutlands Japanese stones, (review on those too) and WOW! what a difference. After just 15 minutes going down through the grades I now have razor sharp knives that slice through tomatoes under their own weight almost. The guide holds the blade at the correct angle and it's a constant angle too, each side of the guide has smooth round inserts at the top that glide over the stone effortlessly. Best £10 I've ever spent.
